Board of Trustees

The Frontier School Board of Trustees consists of ten members who were first elected to their local school committee, then to their Area Advisory Committee, and finally to the Board. Members are elected to a four year term of office.

The Board of Trustees is responsible for the governance of the Division, overseeing the planning and delivery of education programs and services. The Board responds to the interests of the communities; therefore, Board action reflects the values of the community.

The Board's responsibility is carried out primarily by policy development, strategic planning, and budgetary establishment and control. All policies and practices are compliant with provincial and federal laws.

There are a number of resources and documents that explain the Board's role in greater detail. Please refer to the Resources section on this website for further information.
